A good performance saw Abbots win this game comfortably today.

First Half:
1 Min:
Abbots got off to an early advantage when Stuart used his pace to leave the Hammer defence stranded, and got forward and scored.

13 Mins: A superb cross by Ben from the left was perfectly curled around the last defenders for Johnny to score coming in slightly to the right.

27 Mins: Max had to go off injured and was replaced by Peter. Peter launched the ball forward from deep in the Abbots half for Stuart to take down the right, get past the Hammer defence and score.

40 Mins: Stuart fired in a great shot from just outside of the right hand corner of the goal area. The ball dipped into the far corner of goal leaving the keeper with no chance. The half ended 4-0 to Abbots.

Second Half:
44 Mins:
Stuart took a free kick from the right and floated it into a crowded goal area. Peter rose near the left side of goal and firmly headed the ball into the opposite corner.

48 Mins: About a minute after Hammer Youth missed a dubious penalty, they pulled a goal back after one of their forwards broke through the centre of Abbots defence.

52 Mins: Stuart got a fourth goal after Johnny fed the ball through to him in a crowded goal area. Hammer Youth players and linesman complained to the referee that Stuart was offside, but the referee was adamant that Stuart ran from an onside position. The game at this point looked as though it might get out of control, but it settled down. Stuart was taken off and rested and then brought back on as a full back until he was replaced by Jack. Matthew C also came on earlier in the second half.

The man of the match award went to Stuart for his dominance in attack and his four goals.
